Our Faith
Plan of Salvation
How would you answer the following question; Are you going to heaven?
Would you give answers such as "There is nothing after death", "God is the God of love and would not send anyone to hell", or "I hope that I am good enough"?
How do you prove your answer? What do you base your answer on?
At First Baptist, we believe that the Bible is God's Word, and the basis of all of our teaching and practice, and because of this we would like to share five verses that answer the question of how you can go to heaven.
The first three verses show us that we are not able to go to heaven because of the sin in all of our lives, and the eternal death that results from that sin. The last two verses tells us the solution to our eternal problem, the death of Christ on the cross and His resurrection.
So now, knowing what you know, what will you do? Do you have more questions? Do you understand what God is saying to you in these verses? Do you need more help? Have you accepted this gift?
Please contact us if we can be of help, or if you would like to receive some information that would further explain how you can be sure that you are going to heaven.

- Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God
- Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
- Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
- Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
- Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
