Dr. Steven Baley, Lead Pastor
Dr. Steve holds a Bachelor’s degree from Baptist Bible College, two Master’s degrees from Baptist Bible Seminary/Clarks Summit University, and a Doctorate from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Steve has served in a wide variety of ministry roles throughout upstate New York and northeastern Pennsylvania. He has served as a Bible teacher, youth pastor, senior pastor, school administrator, and coach. Before coming to Newark Valley, he served as the Dean of Students and Director of Student Activities at Clarks Summit University. He is passionate about his family. He loves to coach basketball. He is an avid student of Scripture, history, and apologetics. He is a serious fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Eagles. And he knows way too much about the Star Wars universe. Steve loves to preach and teach the Word of God with the goal of making more and better disciples of Jesus Christ! Steve and Amy have been married for over 30 years. They both attended Baptist Bible College, but they first got to know each other while counseling together at Lamoka Baptist Camp. They have three wonderful kids: Dylan, Mercy, and Carter. Amy loves her family. She has primarily been a homemaker but has also served as a Pre-K teacher and has worked in special education. Amy's focus has always been motherhood and ministry. In her limited spare time, she loves to read, scrapbook, and create things artistically. |

Pastor Richard Lloyd, Pastor for Seniors
Pastor Lloyd is a graduate of Practical Bible Training School (1969, now Davis College), Calvary Bible College (1971), and Calvary Graduate School (1973, now Calvary University) in Kansas City, Missouri. Pastor Lloyd was a faculty member and Administrator at Practical Bible Training School, Johnson City, NY for 9 years. He pastored in the State of Maine and Brooktondale Baptist Church, in NY. He and his wife, Liz have two adult children and two grandsons. Pastor Lloyd brings many years of ministry experience and a genuine love for people and ministry to FBNV. His ministry will be specifically targeted to our senior population but is a constant encouragement to all our congregation. |
